Brother Jadon
First, I am so thankful you’ve taken the time to read about Servants of The Way. I want you to know that it is not by accident that you came upon our site; I believe this is a God directed appointment and that something significant is about to happen in your life. God is reaching for you, and you’ve been feeling His calling and I believe that’s how you ended up here, on this website. I encourage you to read each page, to contact us if you have questions, and to pray and ask God for continued guidance on His best for your life.
As for me…
I would describe myself as an introvert called to be an extrovert for God. I have a love for humanity, nature, and life, but my deepest yearning is to honor God with all my actions and to live my life in service to Him and to serve God’s people.
I have an incredible and loving wife, Amanda. I am blessed to have her as wife and friend. We have two grown sons and three beautiful grandchildren. Amanda and I’ve have known each other for more than three decades, and each decade is better than the one before it.
Why Did I Choose Ministry?
Though I do believe that ministry is a “calling” I believe the individual must also choose/commit to ministry. I do have an academic education, both secular and theological, and though I continue to devote time to studying God’s word, attending lectures, seminars, reading books, etc. to improve my knowledge and ability to serve. I do not believe that is what makes me a minister. For me, the most important ingredient to preaching, teaching, or serving in any capacity as a leader in God’s work requires a sincere love for and relationship with God and a deep love for God’s people. If there is no love for the people, there is no genuine call of God and without a true relationship with God there can be no ministry.
Though I am an apostolic minister my journey and ministry have been anything but traditional. I usually explain, “My life has taken me down many roads, and like all of us, I have known my share of life’s hardships and sorrows.” I have learned that a minister is not a perfect human being, and does not have all the answers, but we do know the One who is perfection and who does have all the answers. My experiences have given me the ability to be approachable and to have compassionate concern for all of God’s people, especially, for those who have been wounded by former church experiences, those who are skeptics, or those seeking for answers they don’t even have words to ask…
Finally, I want you to know that Servants of the Way is a safe place for anyone who is questioning life, or hungering for something more, or thirsting for what matters most, or for those who feel like they are forgotten. It is our sincere prayer that through some aspect of this ministry you will come and find rest in God.
We, sincerely, hope you will not hesitate to contact us… as you are welcome here.
May Our Gracious God Bless and Keep You,
Brother Jadon
